Dark Was the Night

I’m not a music writer, but having just returned from a paradisiacal four-day vacation in the hill country, I feel the need to strongly recommend the album that was the unofficial soundtrack to my blissful serenity:

Dark Was The Night is an elegant compilation of independent music performed by a million bands you probably already know and love if this is your kind of scene. It’s breathtaking.

It was produced by the brothers from The National and proceeds benefit The Red Hot organization (the leading international organization dedicated to fighting AIDS through pop culture).

Check it out!

  1. I agree. It was a bit of a surprise that it lived up to the hype since they’ve been pimping it on XMU for so long. I highly recommend to anyone in the market for a new album. Plus it benefits a good cause so instant karma improvement.
