It’s News Day Tuesday!

Extra! Extra! Lost aired its finale this week! Maybe you heard something about that?

Welcome to News Day Tuesday, where we bring you what incredibly scarce non-Lost scoop we could dig up from the internet this week!

Megan Fox will not be in the third Transformers movies. She quit. Also she was fired because she’s too skinny. Furthermore, she quit because director Michael Bay was verbally abusive. At any rate, various names are being bandied about to replace Fox in the franchise. None of those names is Heidi Montag, despite her urgent tweeting to the contrary. (You can read my post on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and the megalomaniacal Bay here.)

Ooh, this sounds good! French blood-soaked creature flick The Pack has stirred up some controversy and buzz at Cannes! Want to see! Now!

Lots of big-ish names have been discussed for Scream 4, including Hayden Panettiere, Lake Bell and Rory Culkin, joining original series “stars” Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, who will probably all die before the credits roll because Kevin Williamson hates old people.

James Franco will apparently star in Rise of the Apes, an utterly unnecessary Planet of the Apes prequel.

Lots of new Smallville scoop since the CW upfronts. You can find it over at my new blog Watchtower.

Lindsay Lohan and her SCRAM bracelet will allegedly star in 3-D horror film Black Friday. We’re all breathless with anticipation!

Well it’s about time, internet! You can play the Human Centipede video game here.

Tarantino is jumping on the Dracula train.

That’s all the news that’s fit to print (read: not about the Lost finale). For more news and reviews, check out the DIH archives!

 Review Preview:

Tomorrow I will post my gargantuan review and report card of Smallville‘s Season 9! Over at Watchtower, obvs.

Next week I’ll FINALLY get around to reviewing [rec]!

  1. Rec was good! I didn’t see the remake with Dexter’s sis, but I really enjoyed the first one and had nightmares about it for a few days!

  2. REC is the business! And I am intrigued by The Pack. Also, is it sadistic of me to be kind of excited that LiLo is going to be in a horror movie? This is like watching Jennifer Aniston’s career in reverse…well, sans crazy druginess. I just mean, usually people START in horror or soaps, not END there. I think I’ll need popcorn.

  3. I’ve been dying to see [rec], based on recommendations from both of you! And Sally, I am tooootally looking forward to reviewing LiLo’s terrible-ass horror movie. The bad reviews are so much easier to write!

  4. I can’t WAIT for the LiLo horror flick. If it’s anything like I Know What Killed Me, it’ll be amaaaaazing.

  5. The Pack sounds really awesome. I always hear about movies at Cannes and they take forever to come out.

Come on Tarantino. Vampires, really? You already did Dusk ’til Dawn and it was awesome but coming with one now makes you look weak and pathetic. Oh yeah, please don’t put Juliette Lewis in this one either.
