It’s News Day Tuesday!
Extra! Extra! George Lucas has found a way to milk even more money from our childhoods! ALL SIX Star Wars movies will be re-released to theaters in 3D. Lordy.
Zack Snyder has been chosen as the director for the Superman reboot by producer Christopher Nolan. The movie will be written by David Goyer. Solid choice, guys. To no one’s surprise, Brandon Routh is probably not being asked to return as the title hero in tights.
Also Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit will be released in 3D. Obvs.
Philip Seymour Hoffman’s name is being bandied about as Venom in the Spider-Man reboot, probably just to get skeptics like myself to be interested in it. Well played, bishes.
In other Hollywood Needs New Ideas news, there’s going to be a Men in Black 3. And Emma Thompson is going to be in it, for some reason.
Emily Blunt, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis make up the fantastic cast for time-travel action thriller Looper.
I know it isn’t cool to be excited about this, because it’s probably going to be less than awesome, but Tony Gilroy is writing AND directing the next Bourne installment! Hopefully Matt Damon will star, as that’s where my real excitement lies. Also, important news alert! Tony Gilroy is a total silver fox! Pic at the link.
Finally, check out my recap of Smallville episode 10.02 “Shield,” over at Watchtower! It’s filled with information and hilarity! I mean, I think so.
That’s it for this week, folks! Check out the archives for more news and reviews!
