Y’all, I totally almost forgot about NDTD today! It’s not like I haven’t been doing this for the past 84 weeks or so. Someone’s got turkey brain! I’m gonna blow through this before I start daydreaming about broccoli cheese rice casserole again.

Mike White, who penned School of Rock, has been tapped to direct Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Having just finished the audiobook of P&P today (for the 400th time, what.), I’m unusually interested in this news despite Natalie Portman’s dropping out. I suppose ScarJo will suffice.

walking dead

Speaking of zombies, we probs have a full year to wait before S2 of The Walking Dead. Check out the full convo of my Walking Dead reviews with Henri and Devin on Badass Digest! Continue reading

Extra! Extra! Marla's got a lot of irons in a lot of fires!

And this will therefore be a shorty edition of NDTD. Let’s hop to!

Scream

There’s a trailer up for Scream 4, and nothing surprising whatsoever happens in it!

men in black

Dramz on the set of Men in Black 3, which may feature Betty White! She’s probably the troublemaker on set. No wait, it’s Will Smith’s giant ego.

alien

Damon Lindelof’s magic script apparently rescued Ridley Scott’s trubs-riddled Alien prequel, thereby perhaps scoring Natalie Portman as the lead. Allegedly. Continue reading

Extra! Extra! Marla's face to melt in tragic explosion of awesomeness tonight!

YES! That’s right! I’m seeing Piranha 3D this very evening and I’m CRAZY! EXCITED! Reviews are crazy good, box office numbers are decent and a sequel’s already in the works!

x-men first classJanuary Jones

Loads of casting news for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class here, including the news that Mad Men‘s January Jones will play the ultimate ice queen and forever Marla girl crush Emma Frost. Jones certainly has the right look, but I’m not convinced she can actually act. Maybe there’s more than petulant Betty to Jones’s repertoire. I hope so, because I REALLY don’t want this movie to screw up Emma Frost. Read my review of Vaughn’s Kick-Ass here.

Extra! Extra! I saw the face-melting Tron Legacy trailer in IMAX 3D!

And you can too, if you watch Alice in Wonderland! Or you can just watch it on your computer screen and only melt your face a little bit. (read my Alice review here.)

Meredith over at io9 broke down the trailer and analyzed each still for us. Do you guys think if I stole her identity, she’d notice?

And she’s got the brand new Iron Man 2 trailer here. May 7th! May 7th!  Continue reading
